We care and value for our students well being. The dorms are less congested and the school has a big swimming pool.

The boarding experience adds an immeasurable dimension to a student’s education. Our outstanding boarding and catering facilities are designed to create a comfortable family atmosphere. The hostels house a common room fitted with DSTV connected flat screen TVs, HIFI systems, comfortable furniture and a study room specially designed to provide a conducive learning environment within the hostel.

We also have a fully equipped sanatorium with a resident nurse and other emergency services (fire, water and ambulance). We enjoy the services of a professional Counsellor for overall well being of the students. In addition, we nurture the student’s spiritual growth through an established Pastoral care programme. New students are oriented to the school through the sisterhood programme where they are assigned an old student to help them adjust to school life.

Co-curricular Activities

Dr. Ken Gerdes High School is a renowned giant in games and sports within and outside Trans Nzoia County. The department is headed by Mr. Tiema assisted by Madam Mercy Koech.
The school administration is headed by Madam Wasau who has invested heavily on physical facilities and empowerment of human resources required for our girls to grow wholesomely as they utilize their talents in co-curricular activities. In term one we participate in handball, athletics and cross country while in term two we participate in soccer and volleyball games. We have highly competent coaches who train our girls.

Through creative and performing arts like Drama, Music and Sports like Basketball, football, hockey, and skating, we tap and nurture talent thereby developing an all rounded student.
